GoodWe inverter error codes, the full list
GoodWe inverters describe faults with named messages like Utility Loss or Isolation Failure (each also has a number), shown on the screen or in the SolarGo app and SEMS Portal. Find your error below, see how urgent it is, and open the step-by-step fix. Start by typing it:
| Code | What it means | Urgency | Fix |
|---|---|---|---|
| Utility Loss | Grid lost / no mains detected | Self-clears | Full fix guide → |
| Vac Failure | Grid voltage out of range (15) | Self-clears | Full fix guide → |
| Fac Failure | Grid frequency out of range (03) | Self-clears | Full fix guide → |
| Isolation Failure | Low PV insulation / ground fault (14) | Stop, call a pro | Full fix guide → |
| Ground Failure | High ground leakage current (22) | Stop, call a pro | Full fix guide → |
| PV Over Voltage | DC input voltage too high (17) | Stop, call a pro | Full fix guide → |
| Over Temperature | Internal temperature too high (18) | Check & restart | Full fix guide → |
| Arc Fault | DC arc detected, fire risk | Stop, call a pro | Full fix guide → |

Reading the error on your GoodWe
The fault shows on the inverter's display or in the SolarGo app (and the SEMS Portal online). Note the exact message and whether it cleared on its own before you start.
How to read the urgency rating
Self-clears usually a passing grid or weather event; the inverter reconnects itself.
Check & restart do a few safe checks and a proper power cycle.
Stop, call a pro a safety or hardware fault; don't keep resetting it.
