GoodWe DSP Comm Fault
DSP Comm Fault means the two processors inside your GoodWe lost communication with each other. The DSP runs the power stage that converts DC to AC, and the ARM chip handles control, display and monitoring. When they stop talking, the inverter stops to be safe. A full restart usually re-establishes the link.
What usually causes it
- A transient glitch between the two chips, the most common cause.
- A firmware mismatch or bug, which a GoodWe update resolves.
- An internal connection or board fault, if it keeps returning after a clean restart.
How to handle it safely
- Do a full power cycle. Switch off the AC, then the DC isolator, wait 5 minutes, then restart so the two processors re-sync on boot.
- See if it clears. A one-off that does not return needs nothing more.
- If it persists, have your installer or GoodWe check for a firmware update, then service the board if the update does not fix it.

What is the DSP in my inverter?
