GoodWe SPI Failure
SPI Failure (error 07) means an internal communication bus (the SPI link the chips on the GoodWe's board use to talk to each other) reported a problem. It is an internal electronics fault rather than anything on your solar or grid wiring, and a one-off is very often just a transient that a restart clears.
What usually causes it
- A transient electronics glitch, the most common cause and the one a restart fixes.
- A firmware issue that a GoodWe update resolves.
- A loose internal connection or a board fault, if it keeps returning.
How to handle it safely
- Do a full power cycle. Switch off the AC, then the DC isolator, wait 5 minutes, then restart. A transient SPI Failure usually clears here.
- Watch whether it returns. A single event that does not come back needs no further action.
- If it keeps returning, contact your installer or GoodWe. They check for a firmware update and, if needed, inspect or service the control board.
Nothing to adjust on the outside SPI is an internal bus between chips. There are no owner settings for it, so the safe owner-level action is a single restart, then service if it persists.

FAQ
Is SPI Failure serious?
On its own a single SPI Failure is usually a transient that a restart clears, so it is not an emergency. It becomes a real problem only if it keeps returning, which points to an internal connection or board issue that needs service.
Can I fix SPI Failure myself?
You can safely try one full power cycle. Beyond that, SPI is an internal bus between chips on the board, so there is nothing an owner can adjust. A persistent SPI Failure is an installer or GoodWe service job.

⚠️ Safety disclaimer. Solar inverters carry lethal DC and AC voltage even when "off". This guide covers a safe power cycle only. Internal board inspection or service must be done by a licensed installer or GoodWe support.
