Growatt Error 100: Voltage Failure

Updated June 2026 · Reviewed for technical accuracy · ~2 min read

Error 100 is an internal voltage failure. The Growatt detected that an internal voltage is not where it should be, which usually points to a hardware issue on the inverter's board rather than something on the grid or panel side you can fix from the outside. A single restart is worth trying, but a persistent Error 100 needs a professional.

What it usually means

  • An internal power-supply or board fault where a reference voltage is out of spec.
  • Occasionally a transient that a full power-down clears.

What to do

  1. Do one full power-down and restart. Turn off the AC breaker, then the DC isolator, wait 5 minutes, then power back up. This clears a one-off glitch.
  2. If Error 100 returns, stop. It is an internal fault, not something you adjust externally.
  3. Contact your installer or Growatt with the code and your inverter model. This typically needs board-level service.
When to bring in a professional A returning Error 100 is an internal hardware fault. Don't keep power-cycling it; have your installer or Growatt diagnose it.
